PlaceEconomics is where the young stars of historic preservation come to work. We're so pleased that Alyssa is part of our team.

Meet Skyline Council of Landmarks Illinois Member Alyssa Frystak! Alyssa was among the small group of professionals who served on this year's jury to decide the 2020 Landmarks Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award Recipients. Landmarks Illinois honored our 2020 preservation award winners last week at a virtual ceremony. We are thrilled to finally release our statewide study from Arkansas, where we looked at the impact of the state Main Street Program, the state historic tax credit program, and the preservation grant programs. Our team had the best time traveling across Arkansas hearing from communities about preservation in their town. Arkansas is a state with rich cultural and natural resources, but perhaps more importantly, it is rich with passionate advocates who work every day to protect, enhance, and celebrate the places that are meaningful to their communities. The Division of Arkansas Heritage has played no small role in this work. The programs and services administered by the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program reach every corner of the state, supporting small businesses and promoting quality of life for residents in cities of all sizes.
